William E. McRee, M.D., is a skilled and pioneering ophthalmologist. He provides care to patients in San Luis Obispo and Santa Maria, California.

Dr. McRee earned his Bachelor of Arts in biochemistry from Occidental College in Los Angeles and his medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. He completed his internship in internal medicine through the UCLA/San Fernando Valley Program at the Sepulveda VA Ambulatory Care Center in North Hills, California, followed by an ophthalmology residency at the University of Arizona in Tucson. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the California Association of Ophthalmology.
Dr. McRee began practicing on California’s Central Coast in 1990. In 1996, he was among the early physicians in the country to perform LASIK surgery. At ADV Vision, he focuses on laser vision correction and specializes in cataract surgery and lens implant procedures, helping patients improve their vision and meet their individual visual needs.
