What to Expect During the LASIK Procedure

LASIK reshapes the cornea to correct how light is focused on the retina. The process includes:

  1. Creating a thin corneal flap using a femtosecond laser
  2. Reshaping the cornea with an excimer laser
  3. Replacing the flap to heal naturally without stitches

The entire procedure typically takes around three minutes per eye, and both eyes are treated on the same day.
