Dr. Solish was an undergraduate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he received degrees in Electrical Engineering and Political Science. He obtained his master’s degree in Computer and Information Science. Following a year as director of computing at the Retina Foundation in Boston, MA, he attended medical school at the State University of New York in Brooklyn.
After an internship at Monmouth Medical Center in New Jersey, he did his residency in Ophthalmology at the Jules Stein Eye Institute, UCLA. He did a glaucoma fellowship at Washington University, St. Louis, where he studied with Drs. Bernard Becker, Alan Kolker, Michael Kass, and Theodore Krupin. Dr. Solish established the Southern California Glaucoma Consultants in 1984, with offices in Los Angeles, Pasadena, and Lancaster, CA.
His practice is 100% devoted to glaucoma. He is interested in research, particularly in the areas of glaucoma surgery and pharmaceuticals.
